I think I missed THAT meeting....
The one where they said it was alright for small noisy ogres to run around Ikea treating the place like a whooping playground. WHEN was it decided that it was OK to unleash these little shites on normal people who want nothing more than to pick up a bit of shopping? What were the parents thinking? When did it become the norm to NOT deal with a yelling brat in a public place by battering him until he quietens? Missed that one too, I see.

Mainly as to be seen to be battering a child in public, now has the same effect as walking into a synagogue and shouting "heil Hitler". The nanny state has made it more or less illegal to punish your own child irregardless of the reason or situation. If you do slap your child now you get the distain of your peer's. Thanks to cctv camera's you may also get a criminal record for assault and battery and social services involved. In these days it's far easier to look another adult in the eye and grin. Then claim ADHD!!
